,My passion for photography and love of travel both contributed to my decision to participate in the London Humanities Program. Photography has been an interest of mine for many years, and last year my work was displayed in an exhibit at an art gallery and several photographs were purchased. After speaking to friends about traveling and studying abroad in London, I did some initial research and was curious about the architecture and unusual buildings. I felt that the best way to discover London architecture was to capture it with my lens. While studying in London, my learning goals were to identify different types of architecture and attempt to capture the beauty of each type through photography. At the end of this journey I wanted to have the ability to walk into a building and identify the type of architecture I am viewing based on how my knowledge has expanded throughout these seven weeks. My plan was to use extreme angles and depth of field to enhance interesting aspects of the buildings through my photography. After photographing the variety of modern and historic buildings I used photoshop to enhance tones of the photograph, crop it, change it to black and white, and add any other edits that would strengthen the architecture photographs I took while studying in London. Through my photography, I aim to evoke feelings of excitements and curiosity from viewers. I would like to be graded on the selection of buildings I have photographed.
